I made these for my daughters out of maple with wenge (hat and eyes), mahogany (nose), and walnut (scarf) insets. As an experiment, I used a point-cutting 1/8 roundover bit on the internal edges and lines to give it some depth and I think it worked out great. The girls loved them.
