White Oak Fluted Bathroom Vanity
Another big project at the lake house was this bathroom vanity. This was my first time doing a fluted (or reeded, if you prefer) door panel and first time doing inset cabinet doors. I used the Shaper Origin to cut parallel grooves with a 3/8 point cutting roundover bit to create panels with 3/4 inch diameter reeds and then built a shaker-style frame around them. The base was installed first so that we were ready for quartz counter installation, and then the finished doors came later. Finished with Rubio Monocoat Pure. Pretty big improvement from whatever style you’d call the before pic!
